Our Last Hoorah

Today and till Monday our crew, a lot of the people who went to North Carolina with us, will be going to Camp Gregory. Has anyone been there? It's up on Long Point Road, past King Ferrry. It's a camp run by a number of churches in the area, but people can also rent it out. The cabins are rustic, true camp cabins, but each bed has a little screened-in window to look out at the trees and check the weather. The lake gets the afternoon sun and evening sunset. There's a big dining hall and kitchen where we eat and play cards. It's wonderful. It's also our last hoorah before school begins.

I have been lax in getting my pictures up from various outings this summer. And, since the poems were finished, I haven't even gotten on that much. Sorry. But, the new year is coming and we'll be back to our schedule.

Looking forward to it! See you Thursday.

An idea for my Sister...

...because she has pictures to hang and I have a cat who tips over frames on my computer desk.

I solved it by putting them all on a board and the board then just leans onto something so I can move them.

The third picture is of my husband and I announcing our marriage....24 years ago. Do I look younger????? And, how about the do on my husband????

On the top there is a pic of Mrs. Filzen and I with my husband sailing, but I almost cut it out of the picture. I didn't want you guys to think we really ever have any fun outside of school!! But, there you have it. We do!

Thursday, in bed till 8:45 but sunny now, hooray!

And there you have them. What a great ending to the year. I enjoyed them in June and now I have done the same all summer.

Good luck and learning in 9th grade. You're ready!

Sunny!...Will it stay?

This is the next to last day of posters. I have seven for tomorrow and that will be it. Perfect. Friday we go to Seabreeze. It's another vball group trip. We stay overnight in one of my friend's mother's backyard. Just the type of camping I like: bathroom and coffee right near by!

Monday my oldest starts back to school with vball practice so I'll be in Groton from there on out--schoool begins!

Good thing I will have finished up with last year, yes?

Tuesday, cloudy...but possibility for sun later?

Okay. I am going to fight the weather. I am sooooooooooooo tired of it! I WILL go out and work outside, not waiting for the sun. I WILL do something productive rather than sudokus and a computer game. I WILL!

Anyone else in the same boat?

Monday with the clouds coming down the lake. Summer?

The posters are winding down. They've been wonderful and I've enjoyed seeing them all again...

it makes me want to start all over again!

Friday, cooler, cloudy with some sun....and rain?

A bit of thunder in the background. It's a day to get things done.

Will you?

Will I?

Thursday and sunny; will it stay?

I was in Watkins Glen last night. When I got there, I wished I'd brought my camera. There's a race this weekend and there was a festival with some of the cars there. But, no camera so no pictures. Sorry to the race fans in the group.

Wednesday with rain, sun and now a mix of sun and clouds

Today's post took forever, but I hung in there through 3 scans and two trips to town. Whew! Hope you're having a better less technology tough day.
We're off to see the premier of the Second Sisterhood movie. Hope I like it. I don't usually go to movies of books I liked...too afraid they won't do a good job. Look what motherhood does to us!! (I'm taking my youngest and friends.)

Tuesday with sun...right now.

I finally got an MP3 player and I am listening to it right now. Of course, I have to ask my daughter how to use it. Right now I can't get it to continue to play all the songs on the album. Technology! I like the old-fashioned stuff, like these posters!

Monday with sun and clouds

August and more posters.

School is coming. How many are like my youngest? She's excited to start....starting middle school.

Enjoy the day and week.

Our fat cat Tommy

But, the question is, is he a fine feline? Fat, but fine?
